What does a PRYT
session include?
Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy combines dialogue with fully supported yoga
postures to connect body and mind. The session begins with a centering,
which brings you into present moment awareness through mindfulness breathing
and a body scan. You create an intention for yourself from what is revealed
to you through your body scan. The fully supported yoga postures can
assist you in creating an opening for you to explore a level of yourself
where all your memories (injuries, trauma, and experiences) are stored.
Through client-centered dialogue these memories may be recovered, resolved
and released, creating a true transformation in your life. Participating
in integration creates opportunity for insights into behavior patterns
and habits. You connect your experience in the session to your everyday
life. Utilizing your inner wisdom, you find your answers. You are your
best guide to health, wholeness, and transformation. I am honored to
be a part of your journey toward healing.

on the body/mind connection through PRYT
Rarely do we connect what is happening in our mental or everyday lives
to what is happening in our bodies. Our bodies take on much of our everyday
life stressors, experiences and traumas and store them. Unresolved,
this can result in physical symptoms such as back pain, neck pain, stomach
problems, headaches, and muscle tension, as well as emotional conflict
expressed as anxiety, depression, anger or fear, all possibly contributing
to decreased life satisfaction. To tap into awareness of what needs
to be done, PRYT guides us into our bodies in order to explore what
is happening. Through this process, we are able to relate our feelings
and sensations in our body to our everyday life. Within ourselves, we
find the answer. Our own bodies can be our best guides into healing
and personal growth. PRYT assists us in opening, listening and transforming
our lives.
