Angela is passionate about eating, cooking, growing and experiencing good food. She brings a light-hearted style combining the techniques of Phoenix Rising with the science of nutrition to facilitate you in self-discovery. She lives by her grandfather's motto, "Eat not to live; eat because you love really good food."
Angela is no stranger to how stress affects our bodies, how we eat, sleep and move. And, let's not forget our mood! She's spent her professional life working as a television news producer. Crazy schedules, family demands and readily available fake foods make it tough to take care of ourselves. Yoga therapy can help us find a balance.
Angela graduated from Clayton College of Natural Health with a Masters in Holistic Nutrition. She has a diploma in Holistic Health Education from the Mt. Nittany Institute and is a trained Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Practitioner. Her undergraduate degree is in Political Communications from George Washington University.
Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy
Maybe you've had a tension headache or stress-induced indigestion. During a PRYT session, we explore how the body stores all kinds of stress, tension, injuries, memories and other junk. You don't need to know anything about yoga. Simply bring an open mind. We'll use classic yoga postures with blankets and other props to support your body. It's appropriate for every body from athletes who need a good stretch to people with mobility issues to people who are simply looking for a way to release stress. Sessions are 90 minutes.
Stress to Bliss 8-week Workshops
Meet your stress in a whole new way. Then, open up to enjoying all the delicious morsels life has to offer. We'll use basic yoga, breathing, and some group conversation. Each week, you'll have new techniques to take home or back to your job. Bring your complaints, stressors, and issues along with your flip-flops.
Beginners are encouraged to come. The program is appropriate for all fitness levels. Previous yoga experience is not required.
