Sheri believes in our inherent capacity for health and wholeness. “Our essential nature is joyful, peaceful and wise. Simple awareness can reveal this Great Truth within us.”
As a student of yoga, Sheri began to notice an expanding compassion for herself and others, along with an increased ability to handle stress and disappointments. Life became more delightful, rich and sublime! Aspiring to help others benefit from yogic wisdom in their daily life, she began to study Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy.
Sheri completed the 700-hour Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Certification in 2008 and the 360-hour Group Facilitator Certification in 2009. Sheri is also Licensed Master of Social Work with over a decade of experience providing individual and group psychotherapy. She is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Sheri now provides individual sessions, groups, workshops, and retreats in the Greater Rochester, NY area. “It is such an honor for me to witness the soulful journeying of others.”

What is "The Edge"?
The edge is a place of mystery. It lies just beyond what we know and are comfortable with. But, not so far beyond that we are paralyzed with fear.
My experience is that physical and emotional edges are important to Phoenix Rising work because they lead us into our own mystery. They allow us to explore the forsaken parts of ourselves. Those parts that lie just beyond the obvious — in the stiff and shadowy areas of the Self. With skillful guidance, "The Edge" can be a place of incredible discovery, healing and growth.
